چکیده

Study of appropriate planting time and response to agronomic management practices is imperative for the newly introduced cactus pear (Opuntia ficus-indica (L.) Mill.) into a semi-arid region India. Responses (planting irrigation fertilizer application) were evaluated determine potential fodder production livestock feed in environment We assessed four times (February, March, July October) two managements (with without during 2016–2020 at Jhansi, Cactus establishment growth improved with October due favorable soil moisture congenial temperature. However, plant height (19 cm) cladode weight (118 g) greater than planting. Nutrient uptake crude protein contents, however, higher earlier plantings February April compared June October. Irrigation nutrients application had little effect on growth, except width length width. can be planted moderately fertile soils any intervention situations India has as an effective alternative source forage summer months.

Nopal Cactus (Opuntia Ficus-Indica) as a Holographic Material

The nopal cactus (Opuntia ficus-indica) releases a substance through its mucilage, which comes from the degradation of pectic substances and chlorophyll. Combined in a polyvinyl alcohol matrix, this substance can be used as a recording medium. The resulting extract material has excellent photosensitizer properties, is easy to handle, has a low cost, and low toxicity. This material has the prope...

Microencapsulation of pulp and ultrafiltered cactus pear (Opuntia ficus-indica) extracts and betanin stability during storage.

Pulp (CP) and ultrafiltered (UF) cactus pear extracts were encapsulated with Capsul (C) by applying a central composite design (CP-C and UF-C systems) by spray-drying. To evaluate the effect of the extract, microparticles obtained under optimal conditions were characterised and stored at 60 °C. Betacyanin and betaxanthin encapsulation efficiency reached values above 98% for both systems studied...

Effects of ultrasound treatment in purple cactus pear (Opuntia ficus-indica) juice.

Cactus pear (Opuntia ficus-indica) fruit is a berry with a tasty pulp full of seeds that constitutes about 10-15% of the edible pulp. In Mexico, cactus pear is mainly consumed fresh, but also has the potential to be processed in other products such as juice. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effect of different ultrasound conditions at amplitude levels ranging (40% and 60% for 10,...
